Japan-for-U.S. original CD reissue of Varèse Sarabande LP configuration (704.200), featuring a world-premiere 1983 digital recording by Gerd Albrecht and Radio-Symphonie-Orchester Berlin. The release also includes an eight-page booklet with liner notes by Harold Truscott, a brief biographical note about the conductor, a partial listing of contemporaneous Varèse Sarabande CD releases, and color front and back covers, the former featuring a painting of a Pegasus by an unidentified artist, and the latter featuring a photo of the composer.

Recorded direct to 2-track Sony digital on September 27 & 28, 1983 at Jesus-Christus-Kirche, Berlin-Dahlem.
