B3 is originally written for piano for four hands. It is not an arrangement. In the liner notes it sais, that, as there is no photo known of the pianist Ciccolini with four arms (adapting the humour of Satie), it must have been recorded with playback technique. Satie dedicated this composition to his friend and fellow pianist Claude Debussy, when the latter had complained about a lack of form in Satie's compositions.
