Album Info

Release Date: 1977

Label: Irama Mas

Ranked at the first place dan dubbed as the best Indonesian album by Rolling Stone Magazine Indonesia. This album itself is a soundtrack / movie score for a 1977 movie with the same title as the album. But ironically, the songs that featured in the final movie are not the songs from this album, well basically they're still the same songs, but sung and played by different musicians. For the final movie score, the songs were played by De Meicy and sung by Broery Pesolima aka Boery Marantika. This happed because the movie director Teguh Karya, didn't really liked Berlian Hutahuruk's vocals characteristic. Where according to Eros Djarot himself that when the first time Teguh Karya listen to Berlian's singing voice, he said to him that her voice is similar to kuntilanak's voice (Indonesian banshee ghost), it's just too high pitched.

This version of the album is the first press version. Where on the front cover you can see that Chrisye's name is still written as Christian. The first press version is also the only version where the cover are not misprinted. If you see the back side of the cover, the song list is printed in the right order, but if you see the cover of other version of this album, the song list is printed in the wrong order.
