Assembled by producer José Luis Ayala, brother of Latin music celebrity Ramón Ayala (aka "Accordion's King"), the onda grupera outfit Estruendo emerged on the traditional Mexican music scene with a contemporary image and a refined style carried out by six young musicians. Their international debut and Tejano Music Awards nominated Rumbos a las Estrellas featured the hit single "Que Voy a Hacer." The 12-track record was promoted by Estruendo with their first U.S tour in early 2002.
