Ecstatic rhythms, constructed at the Polish Radio Experimental Studio since 1959.Eugeniusz Rudnik's life fascination were machines, all types of mechanisms - those that worked efficiently and discreetly, but perhaps more so also those that had failed, damaged, but still work, making unusual, hypnotic sounds. From 1959, the artist constructed in the studio sound structures depicting broken toys, cogs, gears, gears, pistons, pumps, hammers and turbines, sometimes mutilated, crushed, and sometimes bubbling with energy and humor. These creations fall into ecstatic rhythms, plunging the listener into a trance, idyll, slaughterhouse, lullaby or massacre. Rudnik's machines are humanized sound objects, they have the features of living and sentient organisms, eager to be accepted and heard in the chaos of the world.
