Track 1: A cover of the Buster Bailey's Rhythm Busters dittie recorded December 7, 1938.
Track 2: Comes from the 1938 Trixie Smith tune.
Track 3: Remains close to the original 1938 gem from Bob Howard And His Boys.
Track 4: Is based on the blues standart Stormy Monday.
Track 5: Was originally recorded by Ella Fitzgerald with Chick Webb And His Orchestra during April 1936.
Track 6: Was originally recorded by Julia Lee & Her Boy Friends during November 1947.
Track 7: Is based on the 1927 Ernest Rodgers smashed hit 'Willie The Chimney Sweeper'.
Track 8: Based on the 1925 classic 'Five Foot Two, Eyes Of Blue', penned by Sam Lewis, Joe Young and Ray Henderson.
Track 9: Is a cover of the 1938 Bea Foote song that had remained unissued until the Various - Reefer Songs compilation.
Track 11: Was inspired by the 1941 Lil Green number of the same name.
Track 13.1: A Barney Bigard Sextet composition was originally recorded during January 1945.
