The studio tracks "Seeds Of Hate", "Pleasures Of The Flesh" and "Braindead" were recorded in the Bay Area, California in 1986. The final versions of these songs appeared on Pleasures Of The Flesh.
The live tracks (tracks 4 - 10) were recorded at Studio 54 in New York on April the 3rd, 1985. One track of this show, "Bonded By Blood", was dropped from the release because of severe sound problems in its recording.
Four of the live tracks ("Piranha", "Metal Command", "Exodus" and "Strike Of The Beast") were also released in video format on the VHS Combat Tour Live: The Ultimate Revenge.
