Felon Wind is text and music created independently of each other at different times and in different spaces by (in some ways) different beings. If you find something reminiscent of something or someone else, your memories have most likely not misguided you. Life, Death and Art is full of stolen property. We are no different. How could it be otherwise? We (and I) owe great debts to those before us. (The most obvious cases (or victims of our pillaging love) in this instance: Cormac McCarthy, David Allen Coe/Tanya Tucker & Leonard Cohen. Others remain obscured and obfuscated, but not less important.)
There is one more thing to understand: the artifact that you hold before you is not the goal for or of Felon Wind – rather, it is the beginning and a tool for further exploration of the subject(s) at hand. It is then in itself a part of a process, not a presentation of the results of one.
