"Fran Doyle the pride of Stillorgan, County Dublin, set off, like so many of his countrymen, for North America in search of good times, adventure, a lovely lady and millions of dollars. After a tempestuous Atlantic crossing, his heart foundered on a redhead near Point Pleasant Park in Halifax. That's when his good time and adventure really began. He is still working on the million dollars.
