"Best Foot Forward" was the title of an old movie by Deci Arnaz's red-headed wife.
But even if you're blond, brunette or bald and your name ain't Lucille you will have a ball with this album. Frankie Dante is a pro; a progressive bandleader, a provoking vocalist, a prolific composer and a prominent. product of the streets. He has written & recorded thirty-three tunes for his Orchestra Flamboyan mostly proclaiming peace, unity and love. His songs are poems with a melody projecting his humanitarianism, his pacifists beliefs and his anti-establishment feelings. Although Dante is proud of his acceptance by the public (record sales prove that), he realizes that some people in the music industry consider him a kook and a rebel. But Frankie knows he is in select and good company because the same is said of Eddie Palmieri.
Frankie is not a phony, he is himself and that's the way he is.
Dante's Jimmy Frisaura is Angelo "Big-Bucks" Rodriguez his confidante, advisor and trombonist since the inception of La Flamboyan. Another original member and current contributor to La Flamboyan is coro-man Jose "Juicy" Cruz.
