Our Music is based on the Sámi joik, mainly from the South Sámi area.

The main theme in "Åarjel Saemieh" was joiked by Maria Persson in Arjeplog 1910. "Saajve Dans" is based on the joik "Katnihavuolle" joiked by Nila Ribja in Tuorponjaure 1912. "Bjørnejakt" was joiked by Magdalena Jonsson and Bengt Olofsson in Oviksfjäll 1913. "J.A. Stångberg" was joiked by Nils Sjulsson Stångberg in Tärna 1913. "Gåbdesbakte" was joiked by Kristina Mårtensson in Arjeplog 1912.

All these joiks have been transcribed by Karl Tirén in "Die Lappishe Volksmusik".
