Original Philips Classics 1993 digital recording, licensed to Columbia House, of two suites each from "L'Arlésienne" and "Carmen" by Georges Bizet, all recorded in Salle Pleyel by the Paris Orchestra under the baton of Semyon Bychkov. The packaging includes an eight-page booklet with liner notes by Max Harrison, production and technical information, and a photo of the conductor by Holger Scheibe on the interior pages; and color front and back covers, the former featuring a reproduction of "Study For Bullfight, No. 1" by Francis Bacon, and the latter featuring track and further technical information. (The inlay card also states: "Recorded with the support of Le Cercle de l'Orchestre de Paris.")
