This compilation advertises for Gigi D'Agostino's upcomming album called "Silence".
The actual release turned out to be an EP instead of an album.

The tracks which are selected on this release have also been played in Gigi D'Agostino's radio program called "Il Programmino Di Gigi D'Agostino". This radio program aired from April 2003 to January 2004 on RIN - Radio Italia Network.

There are copies that were released with a misprint S.I.A.E. sticker "IL GRANDE VIAGGIO VOL 2". Therefor this compilation can be seen as follow-up release of "Il Grande Viaggio Di Gigi D'Agostino Vol. 1".

Track information:

Track 1-02 "Drifting Sideways" is also known as "Drifting Sideways (T.O.Y.toburger Wald Mix)".
Track 1-07 "Digital Dream" is also known as "Digital Dream (Mesh Classic Cupboard Cut)".
Track 2-01 "Hymn": J. Foxx is credited as one of the writers of this track, but the original song was not written with him.

Cover versions and remakes:

Track 1-14 "Forrest Gump Suite" is a cover version of the musical main theme of the film "Forrest Gump", composed by Alan Silvestri.
Track 2-01 "Hymn" is a cover version of "Hymn" by Ultravox. The cover version contains no lyrics but vocals.
Track 2-02 "Clocks" is an instrumental cover version of "Clocks" by Coldplay.
Track 2-04 "Taurus" is a cover version of "Taurus II" by Mike Oldfield.
Track 2-08 "Passa" is an edited version of "La Cabasa" by Shameek, released as Gigi D'Agostino's own track with permission from its original authors "Paolo Ortelli" & "Germano Polli".
