Tracks 1-1 to 1-4 originally released as LP 10" " Art Farmer Quintet " ( 1954 ) [Prestige PRLP 181] and 1-5 to 1-7 on " Art Farmer Quintet Volume 2 " ( 1955 ) [Prestige PRLP 209].
The track " Social Call " from original Volume 2 LP is missing in the reissue CD.
1-8 to 1-16 as LP " Nica's Tempo " ( 1955 ) [Signal S1201] credited to The Gigi Gryce Orchestra, The Gigi Gryce Quartet. Actually Nica's Tempo title first appeared on 1958 LP reissue [Savoy Records MG 12137]. The track " Speculation " from the original LP is missing in the reissue CD.
