This was the very first record to be placed on the "Index der jugendgefährdenden Schriften" (transl. index of writings harmful to minors) by the German federal agency named "Bundesprüfstelle für jugendgefährdenden Schriften" (abbr. BPjS). The reason given was that the chansons were songs sung by a harlot that were vulgar from a sexual point of view and therefore violated shame. The indexing decision was made in summer 1960 and meant a complete ban on advertising in public and an age rating of "18 years". Prior to indexing decision, the record was deemed criminally relevant by the "Amtsgericht München" (transl. Munich District Court) and was confiscated by court order, which also resulted in a house search at Gisela Jonas' home. Of the total circulation of 8000 copies, between 2000 and 3000 copies were seized and destroyed.
