The title of this single is a reaction to R.E.M. using the word "Green" as the title for their 1988 album.

Note: On this version with black labels, the side labeling ("Side A" vs. "Side B") is reversed on the center labels. On some copies, this has been manually corrected (writing over the printed side designation) as shown in a photo here. Rear sleeve artwork is consistent with runouts in designating the intended order: "My Tears Are Dry Now" for SIde A, and "Love On Thin Air" for Side B.
