Retaining the HAWKSMOOR moniker and deviating from the original concept, 201984 is a collection of songs influenced by geopolitical instability, the break-up of Britain and the pressure on the individual to survive in the current, post-Orwellian landscape. Hard times.

Utilising a musical palette of Moog, bass and sparse electronically generated rhythms, a miasma of textures are used across the 11 tracks which both oscillate with dissonance or radiate with melodic, harmonic elements. Plaintive melodies rub against, cyclical, mechanical rhythms or concrete collages creating a collection of miniature, industrial evocations of the postmodern condition.
