Poems By Li Po, composed 1931-1933, as recorded in 1947. From The Works Of Li Po, the Chinese poet, done into English verse by Shigeyoshi Obata. Copyright, 1922.

Windsong, composed 1958. This is an excerpted version of the soundtrack for the film Windsong, a modern rendering of the ancient myth of Daphne and Apollo. Ten instruments are used, and Partch plays nearly all the parts. The film was produced by Madeline Tourtelot.

Two Studies On Ancient Greek Scales, composed 1946, recorded in 1950.

Intrusions, composed 1949-1950, recorded in 1950. The poems by Ella Young are from Marzilian And Other Poems, 1938. The Crane is from Japanese Poetry, the 'Uta' by Arthur Waley, 1919. Vanity is from Circle magazine, Summer 1948.

Cloud-Chamber Music, composed 1950. The tune toward the end is by the Zuni Indians of New Mexico.
