This is the world premiere release of the thought to be lost "film version" of the classic Henry Mancini score to the 1967 film starring Audrey Hepburn and Albert Finney which were actually contained inside the Fox Vaults newly assembled and mastered by Michael Matessino. This album is not to be confused with the original 1967 re-recording which was done in Los Angeles with members of the AFM and Henry Mancini's Orchestra at the time while recording for the RCA label.

This album makes two glaring omissions (rectified here in the performer credits) in that it does not credit the late jazz & classical violinist Stephane Grappelli as the principal violin soloist and future composer John Scott (as Johnny Scott) as the flute and tenor saxophonist for the London recording sessions. Grappelli could not be retained for the RCA album re-recording to satisfy AFM union requirements here in the US for the re-recording of score and his solos were eliminated in that version for this reason. Their involvement with the score could be found here at Library of Congress website https://www.loc.gov/item/jots.200020221/ and their performances can be found on the tracks next to their performer credits above.

All credits are contained inside the booklet.
