This release is a box set of three albums, which were released separately; they were all part of the series of seminal Blue Note albums remastered by the original engineer, thus being "Rudy Van Gelder Edition", or "RVG Edition" (appears on spine of each CD).

No credits were given for the whole box sets, so all credits pertain to the separate releases, which are Empyrean Isles, Maiden Voyage and Speak Like A Child.

The third CD - Speak Like A Child - contains a hidden data track after the last song, which contains copy control software. The CD is labeled "copy controlled" so it most likely uses CDS200 (Cactus Data Shield).
