On August 24, 2013, the trio HOT CHICKENS gave an incredible concert closing a vintage motorcycle race in Belgium.For those who know the group, you know that all the concerts without exception are energetic with a lot of enthusiasm and an infectious madness.
And finally for the first time a quality recording is made by the event's sound engineer who this evening captures the 17 wild tracks from the 'Setlist'
There we find the HOT classics, from 'Cruel Lou' to 'Motorcycle Girl'. Going through the fast version of 'Unchained Melody', the delirious 'Surfin' Bird', the closing with 'Misirlou' and the encore with 'Save Your Soul' from Wild Boogie Combo, which has also become a must for Jake Calypso.
It is once again in Studio Midnight in Annequin that the mixing and mastering will be done.
The group then decided on an unofficial limited release and called this album 'BOOTLEG'. In homage to the many concerts in the 80s and 90s that were pirated by fans and which often ended up on a CD sold discreetly on certain stalls during Bourses Aux Disques.
The album was released on November 28, 2013, limited to 500 copies and sold only in Concert.
The rapid success forced the group to publish 500 additional copies. Now completely sold out and for a long time, after 500 more copies.
