"Hour House, formerly Motion (Sic), rose from the ashes of Orinokoflo. HH is comprised of Sam Kenna and Mark Leacy, who both served time in Castings and Painted Jesus Brown together, as well as having numerous other groups to their credit. "Stroke" is a masterwork in soundtracking eerie atmospheres. Music for a sophisticated haunted house perhaps. Woozy synths and field recordings stripped of context are used to create discomfort. The B-side is mostly comprised of an Orinokoflo jam that went awry, hence sees HH as a three-piece. One of the best Altered States releases yet."
