Commissioned by the Persian Shah, Persepolis was part of a multimedia performance (Polytopes) which was premiered in 1971 in Shiraz-Persepolis (Iran).
Realized on 8-track analogue tape in the Studio Acusti [sic] in Paris and originaly released as a stereo reduction on vinyl in 1972.
This version is newly mixed from the original 8-track master tape and is the only LP that brings the full 55 minutes version.
