'Grubby studio detritus, rotten stinking plasticine, electricians tape that has lost its tac and become slimey, bits of a broken clock and a filthy paper flower, hastily assembled and strapped back together with the cheap tape a plumber uses to fix your broken tap. It sits in my studio for weeks until I decide to make a painting of it. Its beautiful to me. Broken and dysfunctional but somehow, it works. Two little monsters bound together.'
