Once again Jagjit Singh 'Zirvi' proves his versatility as a master craftsman in the realm of music. Whether it be a frolicking lilt of a folktune or the sensitive depth of an evocative Ghazal; be it the tantalizing tempo, and energetic country (Punjabi) song or the melancholic melody of a serious lyric, the spectrum of his execution is simply superb. As a dynamic singer, he has established a musical identity of his own. Another provocative dimension to this album is lyrics sung by Kavita Krishnamurthi whose maiden attempt at rendering in Punjabi exacts all the appreciation. Equally memorable are the lyrics of the late Shiv Batalvi and of S.S. Misha the poet laureate of Punjab.
Particularly, setting a sense of standard is the baton of Surinder Kohli, a well known music director.
