Tar is the 1st Flea Ridden Kitten Album released in late 2009. This 13 track album is the third release from Jane Jane Pollock as a solo project. The other 2 prior were short run CD-r's titled "My Kill Eel Are Cozy" and "Lady Jane Grey Buffet". The are currently lost in obscurity (originally released on 1/100 CD-R and 1/15 Cassette tape).

"Tar" originally was titled "The Smell of Tar and Gasoline" and is supposed to have those elements.

Joyce Arcos sings on "Broken Christmas" and "Johnny Depp". "Bedtime Story For Itchy Owls" is a remix of an AloonAluna song.

Michael Arcos composed the songs and plays all instruments.
