A Japanese bootleg live double-vinyl LP. Its source is a stereo FM broadcast, Kyoto, 23 Feb 1981.It comes in a single green, thick-cardboard sleeve with Mick Karn's sculptures printed in black on red labels.
Both Side B labels have Not For Sale printed, along with Stereo. They all include catalogue numbers too. However, no catalogue numbers are printed on the thick-cardboard sleeve.
Some releases were supplied as colour photocopies wrapped around a plain white sleeve.
The title is printed as Japan on the front of the sleeve and JAPAN on the spine. Fans know it as Kyoto 1981.
During track D1, European Son, David Sylvian, starts to sing the wrong lyrics but corrects himself halfway through a verse.
An edited version came out on CD & CDr titled Oriental Performance 1980.
