CD is packaged in a standard plastic black-tray jewel case which includes a back inlay card and an 8-pages (stapled) cover-sleeve booklet with notes in English on the works by the composer, artist bios, credits, and photos.

Symphony: Winter Lightning was commissioned by Saint Mary's College for its 150th anniversary, was premiered in the spring of 1992 by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra conducted by Raymond Leppard. The composer revised the original version for subsequent performances by the Portland (ME) Symphony and the Moravian Philharmonic, who performed it at the Vienna Modern Masters Festival of New Orchestral Music in Olomouc, Czech Republic, where this recording was made.

In Memoriam for two pianos and orchestra was written in the winter and spring of 2002 and was premiered in June of that year in Prague by the Hradec Kralove Philharmonic conducted by Jon Mitchell. The work is dedicated to the children of the Middle East.

Piano Concerto No. 2 was completed in 1993 and recorded by the Moscow Symphony conducted by Joel Spiegelman with the composer as piano soloist.

The Carol of the Bells for piano and orchestra was completed in the spring of 1998.
