I came to the Netherlands wanting time and space for creative work, although probably not prepared to receive exactly what I wished for. These tracks reflect an experience that wasn’t always linear and often contradictory, such as moving away from home to better understand the complexities of it, processing and reflecting on the past while looking to the future, and finding peace, comfort, and companionship through loneliness and solitude. These tracks honor the journey and the place by capturing raw and unsettled emotive states and utilizing lyrical storytelling. Side A offers both lightness and heaviness while Side B offers a purposeful 14-minute song that transforms a spacious melody and tender vocals to complex yet matured layers of sweeping pads and synth lines with breaks, and percussive samples."
Cassette comes in ice frosty color and clear library cases and artwork by Josephine van Schendel. Limited to 50 copies.
