Marrdja is a Kuku Yalanji word approximately meaning jungle. These are two recordings made in the ecologically complex and diverse Marrdja mangroves (Daintree National Park). One made in the middle of the night and the other starting at dawn. They were recorded in the exact same spot, at the edge of the mangroves facing an estuary. They are both unedited (aside from fading in and out) single take recordings.
