Although suggested by the title and liner notes that this is a recording from a radio broadcast, these are on-site recordings from various locations within Acadia and Evangeline parishes in Louisiana.

Although the Side B label lists "Nathan Abshire & His Pine Grove Boys" at the top, they only appear on Side A.

Note that the 1995 CD release (Cajun Fais Do-Do) attributes tracks A1 to A8 to "Nathan Abshire & The Balfa Brothers", with additional artist details in the booklet suggesting that members of The Pine Grove Boys did not actually appear in this recording.
