What an unusual pairing this is! This seems to be Jerry Lewis' only recording for Liberty Records. It finds him in the fall of 1963, about a year before his son Gary would land at the label. The topside is the 1950's song "Because We're Kids" which was co-written by Dr. Seuss. On the other side Jerry is singing quite straight - almost like his Buddy Love (The Nutty Professor) character on the Sinatra standard "Witchcraft." Then - about 30 seconds into the song, you start to hear some laughing in the background. Jerry just powers thru it all, and the laughing gets louder and louder.
