"Jill Purce is author of The Mystic Spiral, 1974. She is the General Editor of the Art and Imagination Series of books, Thames and Hudson/Crossroads. She has an Honors Degree in Fine Art, and was awarded a Research Fellowship in Biophysics. She investigated the spiritual dimension of of music with Karlheinz Stockhausen. She studied vocal overtone chanting in the Himalayas with the chantmaster of the Gyuto Tantric College. She studied for many years with a Tibetan Dzogchen Master. She lectures and teaches, worldwide, and gives Inner Sound and Voice Workshops. She lives in London with her husband , biologist/author Rupert Sheldrake."
