By Night - The Blues album outtakes by Jimi Hendrix

Artists

Album Info

Release Date: 2004

Label: 27 Productions

1994 saw the release of the Alan Douglas produced “Blues” album. This was seen as one of his better efforts during his time managing Jimi’s music. A cassette containing three outtakes was sent to a couple of high profile collectors shortly after. This tape contained Villanova’s Junction Blues, Hear My Train A Comin’ and Belly Button Window. For a while this tape was in very limited circulation amongst a few core collectors. However there were more outtakes than those three and more has leaked out over the years (albeit in very limited circulation and never before released on compact disc). This album finally presents you with almost 74 minutes of this rare material in superb studio quality. All tracks were sourced from a first generation tape, taken directly from the master studio reels and were carefully remastered using modern digital studio technology. No overdubs were made to preserve the feeling of the original recording.

There's a "LEGENDS ALWAYS DIE YOUNG" micro-writing inside that 27 logo; it's possible notice that by magnifying glass only.
The cover is polished and its color is not pitch black but kind of metallic dark chocolate.
