Jolly Joe Timmer's ''Polka Hit Parade'' LP has a classic album cover (not sure who gets credit for the artwork) and the vinyl features the music of Timmer and his band. The 77-year-old Polka Impresario of South Bethlehem (he pronounces it ''Beth-Lum'') is a pretty good guy but his adversaries say that's ''not so.'' They call him Not-So Jolly Joe largely because of some squabbling with ex-DJs over at his radio station, WGPA ''Jolly 1100.''

This LP was released on Rave Records, a label owned by Timmer. Joe, a member of the Polka Hall Of Fame, is drummer-singer in the Jolly Joe Timmer Orchestra. The polka aggregration plays at the Jolly Joe Timmer Grove in Klecknersville, PA
