This recording is take from a series of celebratory performances by Rosalyn Tureck at the home of William F. Buckley Jr. at Wallach's Point, Stamford, Connecticut, situated on a beautiful promontory overlooking Long Island Sound. Originating as a single birthday gift, the event expanded to five evenings; these took place on November 24, 1979, November 7, 1982, December 14, 1982, September 25, 1983, and May 13, 1984. They are reproduced in their entirety in this series "Bach and Tureck at Home" precisely as originally performed spontaneously from beginning to end with no re-recording. The programs are regrouped for issue on four releases.Total Time = 71:02.
