"Recorded with instruments conforming to the original scores."Australian WRC pressing, sourced from original stampers and featuring unique sleeve art. The BWV numbers aren't actually mentioned. "TE/311" on sleeve, "TE-311" on beige 'strobe' labels. The title "The Brandenburg Concertos, Nos. 4, 5 And 6" appears on the spine of the sleeve. Not issued in stereo. Only known pressing, but the sleeve design was re-used for a different recording a couple of years later (T/4135-6, and its numerous reissues).
The two LPs in the set (this one and TE/311) were offered for sale individually - a rare (and possibly unique) occasion when this occurred: normally, double LPs were not sold individually by WRC in Australia, even if the two discs were housed in separate sleeves. But there was no saving for buying both - the standard 35 shillings each, and £3/10/0 for the two! The labels have Side 3 and 4, although the sleeve says One & Two.
