Record Society box set - hinged with white lining. Issued with 12" x 12" 4-page insert. "S/6405" on the insert, "S-6405", "S-6406" and "S-6407" on brown 'herald' labels, which feature tall header font and non-italic bold text. "The Kohon Quartet Of New York University" on labels, "Kohon Quartet Of New York University" on insert. No text on box spine. Issued again (vinyl only) as R-01256, R-01257 and R-01258 in November 1976 and November 1977 - look for any or all of these numbers on the labels (also, the first pressing may turn out to have a gold-lined box, meaning this would be a reissue).
