Most (if not all) of the tracks credited to John on this LP are in fact cover versions. Get Ready erroneously credited as Holt/Campbell, is a cover of the Temptations song written by William "Smokey" Robinson Jr. First Time is credited wrongly to Roberta Flack, instead of Ewan McColl. Rain from the Skies is a Bacharach-David composition and a Jamaican staple, also recorded by Horace Andy, Delroy Wilson et al.
