Notes from booklet: "When John Mayer left the underground scene in 2001 with his breakthrough album "Room For Squares" he was 22 years old, and had just an acoustic guitar and a lot of energy. His way to the top came fast, playing concerts nonstop, sparking an intense mouth to mouth broadcast until getting to the radios and television who found this young talent. 2 years later, "Room For Squares" sold more than 3 million copies, generated 3 hits, one of them being "Your Body Is A Wonderland" which received the 2003 Grammy for "Best Male Performance".
With a sold out tour in the USA, all the magic, skill and emotion of John Mayer's shows were captured at the DVD "Any Given Thursday", which was recorded live in Alabama in September 2002. It includes songs from the album "Room For Squares", versions of classic songs, such as "Lenny" by Stevie Ray Vaughan and "Message in a Bottle" by The Police as well as new compositions. The DVD sold more than 1 million copies in the United States alone."
