"I first became aware of Jon Hicks in San Francisco in 1994 when a friend played me a tape of Jon's music. I was greatly impressed.
I subsequently met Jon in 1996 at a festival in Glasgow. It was obvious from listening to him play live and talking to him afterwards, that Jon is totally involved with music and is destined to become one of the prominent names in the field of Irish traditional guitar.
