This is the lacquer / acetate master recording from Artisan Sound Recorders for CBS records.
It is a coated metal disc and is quite heavy.
Comes in a Artisan Sound Recorders company sleeve.
There are no etchings or stamps in the "deadwax" area and so I'm unsure as to which version / release this was to become.
Centre labels interestingly state "Journey" and CBS Records, though do not stipulate the album title (Departure) anywhere? Was the album name undecided when this was recorded on 1/22/80?
Also, most releases from USA state Columbia as the label, CBS seems to be European label though the Artisan address stated is California USA.
Most track times differ from the publicly released version though by only a few seconds.
