Noisy, gritty, driving and loud as JRS can be, the band doesn't shy away from pulling out a strong hook. Started as a synth-pop band in 2008 by Britton Glenn, Brian Anglin, Joe Jeter and Mark Molitor, the same melodic roots that guided those early pop anthems are still very much alive in the group today. Ever changing, the current incarnation of Glenn, Anglin and drummer Christopher Smith released its first LP, Mu, in January 2016. Recorded and mixed by Glenn over the course of 2014 at Rocket Science Sound, the DIY collective studio space he started in Boise, Mu is guitar driven and shifts between post-punk, noise and indie rock. The record's refined, steadily driving core is surrounded by a flesh of raw energy, intensity and introspective wandering. They played only a select number of shows in 2015 and are planning to continue playing limited tour dates during 2016.
