Past Changing Fast: Faster Ahead by Kailash

Artists

Album Info

Release Date: 2012-03-14

Label: Abridged Pause Recordings

The second Kailash album completely re-mixed to the bands intentions.

This is the second Kailash album, and the first to be written under the band's name, since the self-titled debut album was a compilation of {band 32845} material (Krom's last two demos). "Past Changing Fast" was originally released by {label 1002} in September 2009 on compact disc. {label 28190} was scheduled to release the vinyl version in late 2009 but held back when Kailash announced plans to completely re-mix the album. The title song "Past Changing Fast" was however used on Abridged Pause Recordings' Various Artists compilation Diluvian Temperals, released in August 2009.

Two years later, Abridged Pause Recordings planned to release the re-mixed version, "Past Changing Fast: Faster Ahead", as a super-deluxe coloured 12" vinyl with altered artwork (different from the Frostscald Records CD version), but the album was cut back to digital-only after the band leaked the release to bloggers and webzines the day before the pre-orders were to start. Kailash's planned third full-length, a compilation of {band 32845}'s first two demos, "Krom" and "Trough the Looking Glass", was also cancelled by Abridged Pause Recordings.

Recorded and mixed by Damiano Minghetti at Hombrelobo Studio, Rome, Italy in January 2009.
Re-mixed by Valerio Fisik at Homborelobo Studio, Rome, Italy in March 2011

Track 2, "Past Changing Fast", features segments from the film “Memento” (2000).

All songs released exclusive to Abridged Pause Recordings.
