"If I could have the world the way I want it, I would set these children free" rather aptly describes the sentiments behind this album. It has always been a desire of Kamahl to begin a project to help the handicapped and under-privileged children, now it seems that hope has been realised. But let's start at the beginning...
Originally a Christmas EP was planned and during preliminary discussions the idea was born, why not an LP from which proceeds could be used to help attain Kamahl's ambition. BP Australia were contacted, readily agreed to assist, and suggested Freedom from Hunger as the beneficiary.
The selection of songs seem to capture the essence of the basic idea behind this album. The simple and gentle thoughts are performed in the unique way that is Kamahl's.

"I would like to express my sincere thanks to BP Australia Ltd. and their dealers for their assistance and co-operation in making this record possible." Signed Kamahl
