Album Info

Release Date: 2020-06-05

Label: Hi-Res Audio

Here is the second offering in a series of short-run releases; a cassette edition of the entirety (slowed down to exactly 91.785% of the original playing-speed via the 48k/44.1k interchange) of the first wave of "Resonators".

These tapes were produced as a "Birthday Edition" in late May, 2020, and come as Maxell Professional Industrial (P/I) Duplicator Series C90 Audio Cassettes (including the black-plastic T-bar spindle-stabilizers) in smoky-grey shells in White Norelco Boxes along with printed labels & J-Cards featuring the full-res "Composite" artwork (detail on both sides) all snug inside a BOXPRO® Audio Cassette Case Protector with the "Hi-Res Audio" sticker affixed to the outside of the Norelco box.

Due to the nature of the high-speed dubbing process, the specific tapes used, and the laws of force & friction, the (welcome) addition of manufacturing artifacts such as slow-motion tremolo/vibrato & assorted phase/frequency-shifting can be heard throughout the program, which is just about the most goddamm beautiful thing I've ever heard (if there was ever a "Mixtape" of music made for this exact sort of supernatural audio-intervention, it's this one) &, as such, each copy has its own ghosts, personality, & peccadilloes.
