Label: World of Equip

World of Equip Bandcamp subscriber exclusive album for the month of January, 2021.

Ephemeral Gauze is the January 2021 archival re-master of Kevin Hein's "Gauze" and "Gauze II", released via BARO Records in 2013 and 2014 respectively. Both were recorded in the summer of 2012. With the exception of drum machines, all sounds, synths, and textures are derived entirely from a Fender Telecaster Thinline '72 reissue and a Boss CE-3 chorus pedal, processed and re-sampled through custom effects chains via Ableton Live.

Cover art is a composite of 3 photos- Chicago loop skyscrapers engulfed in fog during a solitary lunch break circa 2013, a sunset enjoyed with my love at the time taken somewhere off the Blue Ridge Parkway circa 2013, and the original cover art for Gauze, a Polaroid of Birmingham, AL taken by Colin Blanton (date unknown).

"Skyscraping Aniline" & "Fleeting Grace" are cassette only bonus tracks recorded during the "Gauze" sessions but were previously unreleased.

Clear cassette with printed white lettering in a clear norelco case.
