This is a collection of old 78 RPMs by South African gospel group The Kings Messengers Quartet, assembled on an LP for a wider audience. The music a capella. There are numbers behind each track (f.e. JP 501) which probably refer to the old number under which they were released. The label says MCMLXI, which is 1961. This could be the year the old 78s were released, but not the album, since it has a 'Also available on Cassette' message on the back. No release date on the vinyl, but some sources mention 1959 as the original year that these songs saw the light. The LP is from a later year.
