From the booklet:
“Did you sing this for Grieg?” was commisioned by the New Carte Blanche Dance Theatre. The production was made possible with support from the Grieg 150th Anniversary Celebration 1993 and was a part of the dance performance “Web”. This performance was a part of the official celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Edvard Grieg. The music was composed in close co-operation with the choreographer Ina Christel Johannessen. The work was premiered on June 3rd, 1993 at the Dance Theatre in Bergen, Norway, by the New Carte Blanche Dance Theatre under the direction of artistic director Fredrik Rütter. The costumes and set design were by Nadine Baylis, lighting design was by Erik Wiedersheim-Paul, the dancers were Therese Skauge, Marianne Albers, Cecilie Steen, Peter Gardiner, Jens Østberg, Jan Ivar Lund and Terje Massige.
