Since the pandemic struck, the growing uncertainty and absurdity of the times, combined with a feeling of incarceration, prompted Knauzers to seek escape in music as they consciously expanded, traveled, and transcended away from the chaos enveloping the planet, leading to the creation of "Astro Saga Con Mongo"—Knauzer's second full-length album.

This journey was inspired by Mongo, an old cloth doll found in an abandoned house and given to him by a friend; fascinated by this bleak discovery, Knauzers embraced Mongo as his talisman and companion during these uneasy times, sharing a mutual sense of annoyance and exhaustion with the state of the world as they escape together to travel through space.
